President Vladimir Putin has invited all leaders of Eurasian Economic Union states to attend the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, RIA Novosti reports.
On May 14, during a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev reminded participants about the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, and wished Russia success in hosting the event.
"We wish the Russian side success in hosting the event, and wish the Russian football players the best of luck in the upcoming games," Nazarbayev said. "Russia will surely succeed in creating a unique atmosphere with this celebration, and will ensure the highest standards in hosting this important event, to which we will hopefully be invited."
"All of you are invited, as I have already said," Putin replied. "Thank you very much for your kind words."
