All the challenges people with restricted mobility can encounter at Rostov Arena were addressed during construction, wheelchair user and activist Fyodor Takhatamyshev said during a news conference at the Rostov-on-Don City Press Center.
"We were invited to visit the construction site and nearby territory. All our observations were taken into account, and shortcomings rectified," he pointed out.
Mr. Takhatamyshev went on to say that municipal authorities went to great lengths to create an accessible environment in the city zoo, adding that he was confident that should city guests decide to visit the zoo, they would be pleased with their experience.
Pavel Vasilyev, who suffers from a musculoskeletal disorder, spoke about the inspection at the new Platov Airport, saying that it met all the standards since that people could easily move around, including in the parking lot that has disabled parking places.
"We also inspected the train station that offers an accessible environment," Mr Vasilyev said.
