Ekaterinburg has ensured excellent information support of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, with easy navigation around the city and landmark directions for tourists, racing driver and Ekaterinburg Ambassador Sergei Karyakin said during a news conference at the City Press Center.
"The city has done an excellent job to get everything ready for the World Cup. It is very simple for visitors to get hold of any information they might need about the city," Karyakin said.
Sergei Karyakin also noted that ahead of the World Cup he personally developed a special guide for Ekaterinburg visitors.
"One of my favorite sites is the Yeltsin Center. This is a really cool top-level platform for those who want to learn more about Russian history. Other sites worth visiting are Mayakovsky Park, location of the FIFA Fan Fest, and, of course, the old-timer museum in Verkhnyaya Pyshma recognized as the best in Europe," the racing driver pointed out.
He added that many foreign football fans are arriving by car. There was even one RV colored as the Peruvian flag.
"I would recommend driving fans to visit Olenyi Brooks. There is a very beautiful winding road going through the woods. This place is a great example of Russian nature and spirit."
