Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Croatia to Russia Tonci Stanicic has praised organization of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia at a news conference at the City Press Center in Rostov-on-Don.
"Congratulations to Russia and the World Cup organizers on the excellent organization and security," the ambassador said.
Stanicic also announced that Croatia opened a temporary consular office ahead of the match in Rostov-on-Don.
"Some four to five thousand Croatian football fans have already arrived in Russia. They demonstrated decent behavior in Kaliningrad and Nizhny Novgorod. There haven't been any problems and there won't be any here, I think," Stanicic added.
Croatia will play against Iceland on June 26 at Rostov Arena in the third round of the group stage. After two matches, Croatia leads Group D with six scores while Iceland is third.
