A press briefing with representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Russia has been held in the Rostov-on-Don City Press Center.
The event was attended by Yang Xiangren, First Secretary for Science and Technology at the Chinese Embassy in Russia, and Jiang Ming, Second Secretary for Education at the Embassy.
The guests shared their impressions of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and talked about the work of the embassy and China's regional consulates in Russia during the tournament.
According to Jiang Ming, about 100,000 Chinese fans and tourists came to Russia during the 2018 World Cup. The Chinese Government established consulates in the host cities of the tournament.
"We thank Russia for providing security to foreign citizens and delivering high quality services," she added.
Yang Xiangren noted that during the trip to Rostov, they and their colleagues sensed the genuine atmosphere of Russia, and got acquainted with the cultural heritage of the city.
