The Rostov Region healthcare services are coping well with their workload during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Healthcare workers are providing treatment for World Cup guests without compromising their regular work, Rostov Region Healthcare Minister Tatiana Bykovskaya said at the City Press Center.
"Work with local residents continues; nobody has relieved us of this duty," she noted.
According to the minister, 850 visitors to Rostov Arena and the FIFA Fan Fest area asked for medical aid during the World Cup.
"There were 23 cases when people needed emergency aid at the stadium, with 19 of these taking place on match days. Eight people were taken to hospital, five of them foreigners," Bykovskaya said.
Bykovskaya also noted that there were 140 healthcare workers placed at 12 health centers, as well as 18 ambulances, at the stadium and in the "final mile" area around it.
