Students of Rostov State Medical University are working as volunteers during the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Rostov-on-Don, the Rostov Region's Minister of Healthcare Tatyana Bykovskaya told journalists at the City Press Center.
Volunteers work at medical institutions, in ambulances, and for hotlines. They all have knowledge of foreign languages, Bykovskaya noted.
"For our future colleagues, this is about getting experience and an opportunity to prove themselves in their profession," she said.
According to Bykovskaya, all volunteers are fourth, fifth and sixth year students of the pediatrics department. They made it through a tough contest at the university and were selected by a FIFA volunteer center.
