Volgograd Arena has hosted its share of World Cup matches, but the FIFA Fan Fest is still open in the city and medical assistance if fans need it will be provided, Chairman of the Healthcare Committee of the Volgograd Region Nikolai Alimov said.
According to Alimov, there are some 100 medical workers at the venue, with five mobile ambulance crews consisting of two people patrolling various parts of the place.
Depending of the load, there are from three to five ambulances at the venue, including a resuscitation ambulance vehicle and a first aid point.
"This is how medical assistance will be provided until the FIFA Fan Fest is closed down," Alimov said.
He also added that there will be more medical workers on the days when a large number of fans are around, such as the day when Russia takes on Spain, the semifinals and the final.
