2018 FIFA World Cup RussiaTM Local Organising Committee president Arkady Dvorkovich and CEO Alexei Sorokin give the highest praise to the level of the games played at the 2018 FIFA World Cup. They made this statement when speaking to Rostov journalists during a video conference, which connected all the city press centers from the 2018 FIFA World Cup host cities.
"As a fan I loved the level of football in terms of scoring, beauty and quality of the games," Arkady Dvorkovich explained.
He also said all the Russian team's matches stuck in his memory but he thinks the most intense games were those with Spain on July 1 and with Croatia on July 7.
"Even if we speculate statistically, the scoring result at the World Cup is 2.6 goals per match and only one nil-nil draw. This is a good result for the World Cup, it has been good attacking football, with lots of goals and bright and exciting play," said Alexei Sorokin, CEO of the 2018 FIFA World Cup RussiaTM Local Organising Committee.
